Ability of members to view posts via email or website
It has an easy name to remember
Ability to add moderators and control their permissions for
various tasks
Easy to moderate new members to prevent inappropriate posts
via email or website
Ability to edit your own headers/footers on all outgoing
emails to members
Ability to send routine and one-time files to members: your
opportunity to promote special links or to convey messages and reminders

Some challenges as new owner/moderator of 1001books:
You need ability to communicate well and promptly in a clear,
non-offensive manner. Possible examples:
requests on how to join - rare but most common

complaints/concern regarding what may be deemed as
inappropriate use of the group (posts, non-educational items for sale;
repeating ads too frequently) - seldom requested; historically on
average, 2-4x/year
handling a complaint about a deal gone bad. You are not
responsible to solve the problem but you may have to ban a member or
restrict posting privileges. - extremely rare request, less than once a
year historically
Drawing the line regarding what is an acceptable ad vs. not
acceptable - common necessity; occurs as normal moderation
responsibility a few times a year, usually in clusters from the same member.
Need to update headers, footers, description & image as
needed/desired - done upon transfer of ownership and as needed/desired
